How to free up space on your phone without losing your photos

Updated on 18 October 2026

Your phone fills up with photos and videos and the dreaded “storage full” message appears. The answer isn’t deleting memories, it’s keeping them somewhere else. Here’s how to do it safely.

Step by step

  1. Upload your photos and videos to Ninbux

Tap “+” and select what you want to keep (you can pick hundreds at once). On Android you can also turn on automatic backup under Account.

  2. Wait for the upload to finish

Ninbux shows you the progress. If the connection drops, the upload carries on where it stopped.

  3. Check they’re in Photos

Open the Photos screen and make sure everything appears by date. Open a photo and a video to be sure they look right.

  4. Delete from your phone what’s already safe

Now go ahead: delete it from your phone’s gallery. Your copies in Ninbux stay where they are, and Ninbux never deletes anything from your phone on its own.

  5. If you need more space in the cloud

You start with free space; if you fill it, you can move to a bigger plan from Account. Whatever you delete in Ninbux goes to the bin first, where it keeps using space until it’s emptied.

Start free, no card needed, and keep your photos in a private cloud in Spain.

Frequently asked questions

What if I delete a photo from Ninbux by mistake?

It goes to the bin and you can restore it for a few weeks. After that it’s deleted for good and the space is freed.

Are photos I delete from my phone also deleted from Ninbux?

No. Ninbux keeps its own copy: deleting on your phone doesn’t touch it.
